DAYSPRING GOSPEL TABERNACLE CHURCH-MBITA:
Although the misery of conflict, famine and Aids in Africa continue. Currently the world interest is directed towards food crisis. In Kenya it is a problem that affects almost everybody. Our hope is in God.
Dayspring Church is found in Nyanza Province Suba District. This district was recently ranked the most affected with the killer diseased AIDS. Most of children’s in this area are orphans not only in the community but in our church and our school as well. Widows in this area have increased rapidly in the recent years, the Church wish to reach them but can’t do, even solving the problem of widows and orphans in the Church has been problem too.
After the death of their husbands most of the widows lead sinful life and end up spreading the disease more, but as a Church we’ve tried with the counseling of these widows to lead a better life in Christ.
REASONS WHY WE REQUEST DONATION:
1. In the book of James 1:27 “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep Himself unspotted from the world.” This Church has a will of responsibility to help the orphans, widows and the needy.
2. Because of poverty in Africa the Church is struggling to assist but it can’t happen successfully because most of Church members are low income earners.
3. The political bickering, corruption and bureaucracy that started immediately after the post election violence in Kenya has made life very difficult, since there is high inflation and the people on the ground are getting it difficult.
4. AIDS epidemic is high and therefore the number of orphans and widows are increasing day by day. That Church cannot fully support them but needs an external hand.
In conclusion:
Jesus said love one another so as Christians we should share our sorrow and happiness together even though we are far apart.
May God bless you all
